What you can do with an ETA:

Transiting through a UK airport if you need to pass through border control (check with your airline)
If you are coming for any other reason, check whether a visa is required.
An ETA does not guarantee entry to the UK. You will either need to see a Border Force officer, or use an ePassport terminal.
If you have a criminal record or have already been refused entry, it is advisable to apply for a standard visitor's visa.
